Provost’s Faculty Grants Program

Last updated on Dec 21, 2023

Overview

The Provost’s Faculty Grants Program fosters the development of CCA faculty's creative, teaching, and professional practices.

The three grants that are offered under the Provost's Faculty Grants Program are:

  1. Faculty Development Grant
  2. BIPOC Ranked Faculty Grant
  3. BIPOC Adjunct Faculty Grant

Eligibility and Criteria

  • All faculty members, whether ranked or adjunct, are eligible to apply for a Faculty Development Grant, with the exception of visiting faculty, faculty fellows, distinguished and emerit faculty. Selection criteria explicitly include an evaluation of the extent to which the applicant’s proposed project will benefit CCA students in the classroom.
  • All ranked faculty identifying as Black, Indigenous, or People of Color are also invited to apply for the BIPOC Ranked Faculty Grant.
  • Eligibility for the BIPOC Adjunct Faculty Grant is defined on this page

The grant programs are highly competitive; not all applications will be awarded funding. All grant decisions made by the designated selection committees are forwarded to the Provost for final approval.

All awardees agree to present a summary of their grant-related work at the invitation of the Associate Provost.

All grantees are expected to publicly acknowledge their affiliation with CCA and the support received from CCA’s Faculty Development Grant program in resulting or related presentations, publications, or other professionally appropriate forums. An acknowledgement may take the following or similar form: "Support to complete this work was provided by the California College of the Arts (CCA) Provost’s Faculty Grants Program.”
