Description:
This is the capstone course for students in their Senior year. The focus of the semester is on developing a body of work, networking with the local art and design community, and creating professional practice tools geared towards being a designer/maker in the world of object design. Though designed for Furniture students, this course can also be of interest for any student seeking to build a career in a craft-based design field. Students will engage in short writing exercises, studio visits, guest lectures, and critical dialogue focused on the role of craft and making in various creative fields.
