SIGN UP NOW! Deadline: March 22!
The annual CCA Commencement Exhibition serves as the centerpiece of CCA’s commencement weekend and highlights a diverse selection of work by graduating students in Architecture, Design, Fine Arts, and Humanities & Sciences. The 2019 exhibition and related events will take place in CCA’s main nave, N classrooms, entryway, and presentation space over Commencement weekend, May 17-20, with a college-wide celebratory Commencement reception taking place on the evening of Saturday, May 18th from 6-10 p.m. All students who graduated in fall 2018 or are set to graduate in spring 2019 and sign up by the deadline are eligible to participate in the 2019 Commencement Exhibition.
We recommend that you apply with existing work. Please propose 3 works/projects, in order of preference. The Divisional Curator from your Division will make the final selection. All students who propose feasible work will be included, but the Divisional Curator makes the final selection of work based on available space, mediums, media, etc. Works can be 2D, 3D, video, installation, performance, lecture, social practice, writing and written text, ipad applications, installation, fashion and textiles, and more. Architecture Students: if you are applying with your thesis work, please divide your submissions into a drawing, a model, etc. as opposed to submitting your entire project as one item.
For additional questions, please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org before 3pm on March 21, 2019 and we will be happy to assist you. We cannot guarantee we'll be able to respond to inquiries received the day of the deadline.
Please note: If you are interested in submitting a proposal for a large-scale installation in the main Nave either as an individual or a student collaboration, you need to complete a separate application here. You are allowed to complete both applications, but please apply with different works. If you are not selected for a large-scale Nave installation, you may still participate in the Commencement Exhibition.
