Event description

The 2019 Commencement Exhibition celebrates graduating students during commencement week by showcasing an expansive range of work by both undergraduate and graduate students across CCA’s four divisions: Architecture, Design, Fine Arts, and Humanities and Sciences. The exhibition includes a reading room where visitors can preview written works ranging from novels to criticism to comics, as well as screenings of work by student animators and filmmakers. 

In addition, CCA has awarded $3,000 to a selection of graduating students to create new, site-specific installations for the exhibition. The 2019 Commencement Exhibition Large-Scale Nave Installation Grant recipients are: Max DeVore Williams (MFA in Design), Palija Shrestha (MFA in Fine Arts), Helena Cardona (Master of Architecture), Alexander Kozachek and Benner Boswell (MFA in Design), Christopher Holland Brandt (BFA in Fashion Design), Carlos Serrano (Master of Architecture), dani lopez and Justin R. Nagle (MFA in Fine Arts), and Gabriela Yoque (MFA in Fine Arts).

2019 Curatorial Committee: Sita Kuratomi Bhaumik, Visiting Faculty, Diversity Studies program; Donald Fortescue, Professor, Furniture program; Palmyra Geraki, Adjunct Professor, Architecture; Glen Helfand, Associate Professor, MFA in Fine Arts program.
