CCA Faculty Kim Anno will show excerpts from her film "¡Quba!" and  discuss race and gender, sexuality.  "¡Quba!" chronicles the triumphs and trials of key Cuban LGBTQ activists in Cuba as they transform the social fabric of their country.  Music, humor and performance are key organizing tools of the activists as the rising evangelical church is a formidable foe in this epic battle for the Cuban soul.

THIS EVENT IS PART OF THE FIRST-EVER CCA FILM WEEK, a time for our community to come together, to explore, reflect on and celebrate the power and potential of the moving image, the diversity of voices working in this field and our questions related to racial and social justice.
