Please join a collaboration of leading global experts, policy makers, strategists, and technologists in sustainability and renewable energy at this Global Climate Action Summit Affiliate Event collectively hosted by nine organizations at the California College of the Arts, San Francisco.
This one-day forum complements Governor Jerry Brown's Global Climate Action Summit in San Francisco, and will imagine a 100% renewable energy future that will allow us to meet climate goals. A select group of high-level leaders and experts will convene to highlight strategies and technologies needed by corporate, public, and private decision-makers to succeed.

STEVE SKADRON, MAYOR, ASPEN, COLORADO
Mayor of Aspen, Colorado, who spearheaded the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Toolkit, which captured 24 years of city climate action work to identify best practices in a toolkit designed for governments to tailor strategies to their needs.
RANA ADIB, REN21
Executive Secretary of Ren21, an international non-profit association based at the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) in Paris, France. Ren 21 brings together governments, nongovernmental organizations, research and academic institutions, international organizations and industry to learn from one another and build on successes that advance renewable energy.
MONICA ARAYA, COSTA RICK LIMPIA
Founder & Director of Nivela (a think tank) and Costa Rica Limpia (a citizen observatory) and adviser on clean development and politics of climate change in Latin America. She is co-chair of the Low Emissions Development Strategies (LEDS) Platform for Latin America and the Caribbean and a Member of the Steering Committee of the UNEP Gap Emissions Report.

Professor of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering and Associate Director of the National Fuel Cell Research Center (NFCRC) and Advanced Power and Energy Program (APEP) at the University of California, Irvine (UCI).

Global Head of Energy Transition, at Climate Action Network (CAN) International, a worldwide network of over 1300 Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) in more than 120 countries, working to promote government and individual action to limit human-induced climate change to ecologically sustainable levels. CAN members work to achieve this goal through information exchange and the coordinated development of NGO strategy on international, regional, and national climate issues. CAN has regional network hubs that coordinate these efforts around the world. Bruun leads and oversees all efforts and coordination on campaigning, communications and mobilization across CAN.
KATRIN HARVEY, REEEP
Senior Business Development Manager at REEEP, an international multilateral partnership based in Vienna, Austria that works to accelerate market-based deployment of renewable energy and energy efficient systems in developing countries. REEEP invests in clean energy markets to help developing countries expand modern energy services and improve lives; increase prosperity and economic dynamism; and keep CO2 emissions in check: a paradigm commonly known as green growth.
PAULETTE MIDDLETON, ISES
Secretary of the Board of Directors of the International Solar Energy Society (ISES). For over 60 years ISES has promoted the product research that fostered the growth of the solar energy industry. Today, as solar energy technologies are being deployed in significant quantities around the world, ISES focuses on continued technology innovation as well as information-sharing through webinars, conferences, global outreach, and its renowned Solar Energy Journal.
ANTONIO MOZQUIERIA, AUSTRALIAN CAPITAL TERRITORY
Senior Manager, Australia Climate Change Policy of the Australian Capital Territory Government, which supports science-based institutions dealing with issues in climate change/marine/environmental resources. The Australian Capital Territory (ACT) is a self-governing territory in the south east of Australia.

Director of Sierra Club's Ready for 100 Campaign, who is leading the work to accelerate a transition to 100% clean, renewable energy across the United States.
MARYKE VAN STADEN, ICLEI
Director of the Bonn Center for Local Climate Action and Reporting (carbonn Center) in Bonn, Germany, and Manager of ICLEI’s Low Carbon City Agenda; ICLEI has built a global sustainability network of more than 1,500 local governments that have utilized its Five Milestones frameworks for climate action.
CRAIG WOOSTER, STONE EDGE FARM MICROGRID
Engineer, inventor, and developer of one of the leading world-class test beds for microgrid development, efficient solar energy collection and storage, and energy metering and data capture technology at the Stone Edge Farm Microgrid in Sonoma, California. Wooster is spearheading the development of a real-world advanced dispatchable Microgrid with open-source technology, and is also designing the renewable energy and sustainability systems for the California College of the Arts' new unified campus, designed by award winning architecture firm Studio Gang.

The 2018 Global Climate Action Summit will bring people together from around the world to showcase climate action and inspire deeper commitments from national governments, and one another, in support of the Paris Agreement. It will be a moment to celebrate the extraordinary achievements of states, regions, cities, companies, investors and citizens with respect to climate action. It will also be a launchpad for deeper worldwide commitments and accelerated action from countries—supported by all sectors of society—that can put the globe on track to prevent dangerous climate change and realize the historic Paris Agreement.
