Event description

We are proud to welcome Oakland-based sculptor and jeweler K.r.m. Mooney in person at Timken Hall for a lecture co-hosted by Graduate Fine Arts and Jewelry + Metal Arts.

A graduate from CCA's Jewelry + Metal Arts, K.r.m. Mooney (b. 1990, Seattle, WA) works not only in metals, but also with sound, light, and other organic items. A 2017 SECA Art Award Recipient, Mooney manipulates industrial objects into abstract forms that often occupy space in unorthodox manners, obscuring walkways and thresholds. Their work has been exhibited at SFMOMA, Kunstverein Braunschweig, and the Wattis Institute for Contemporary Arts.
