Event description

There exists a certain disconnect between the sapient thinking capacity for self awareness, and the physical existence of the human form. Our capacity to form abstractions of identity can be undercut by the banal truths of mechanical human existence. No matter how you idealize yourself, what mythology of agency you ascribe to your capacity to make changes to the world, all human individuals are by necessity reliant upon a grouping of organs which, through nature's machinations, are designed to fail.

The works within this show seek to bring this anxiety of interior spaces to the forefront, using the visual language of traditional printmaking to sketch a perspective into a world of sublime anatomical landscape.
