Event description
Videos, props, and metal sculptures are grounded in symbolic memories that act as idiosyncratic rituals. This collection of work connects nostalgic items that contain the goodness of my family along with objects that embody generational vices. Maladaptive traits unravel the ties to the details of my heritage, turning tradition into simplified markers. As cultural roots are reduced by fading memories the games, possessions, and environments that remain are my links to a sense of history and community.
