First Year Advising
As a first-year student, you will partner with first year advisors, some of whom teach the Core Curriculum in the First Year program. This unique advising structure is designed to help you transition to life at college and provide you with the necessary tools to navigate your academic path. Our first year advising program will help you develop a healthy balance to encourage your success.
You will attend one group workshop and at least one individual check-in each semester to support you during your first year at CCA.
Be sure to check your CCA email address regularly for important updates and additional information.
Feel free to contact email@example.com with general questions or concerns regarding advising.
First Year Academic Planning Workshops
First year advisors facilitate a number of workshops throughout the year to help you prepare for registration in courses and transition to your major program. These workshops are an essential part of the first-year experience. You should attend ONE each semester.

Majors Exploration Week
As you work towards successful completion of first-year requirements , whether you've declared your major or not, you might be wondering what your transition into your second year will look like and how you can prepare. In the spring, you'll participate in Majors Exploration Week. Through a curated online experience and a one-on-one first year advising appointment, you'll gain more in-depth knowledge of major programs, minor programs, other academic opportunities, co-curricular academic opportunities, and resources available to you as a CCA student. Participation of first-year students is expected.
