2020/2021: Advanced COVID-19 Test Required (for residential students)

For current residents Fall 2020 traveling during winter break:

Housing & Dining COVID-19 Protocols.

Given the COVID-19 case surge, and new local health orders, we strongly suggest that you reconsider your travel plans over Winter Break. If you do decide to travel or are currently off-campus, a negative COVID-19 test result (See How to upload your COVID-19 test results to Workday below) will be required in order to return to Founders Hall. If you choose to still travel you will be required to only return to Founders on one of the three following dates:

  • Friday, December 18, 2020 from 8:00am-Midnight
  • Monday, January 11, 2021 from 8:00am-Midnight
  • Saturday, January 23, 2020 from 8:00am-Midnight

Upon return, you are required to upload in Workday COVID-19 test results, no later than 72 hours in advance of your return. Additionally #CampusClear approval must be shown upon return and you will be required to quarantine for 10 days. We will continue to support meal delivery and mail services for you during your quarantine period.

  • The COVID-19 test results uploaded need to be swab for current infection (not an antibody test)
  • If you test negative, you will be allowed to return on one of the above approved return dates
  • If you test negative, but you develop symptoms before your travel/return, please DO NOT TRAVEL/RETURN and notify ResEd@cca.edu
  • If you test positive while off-campus you will need to remain off-campus until you are able to provide a negative test result and have clearance from the Dean of Students Office
  • Make your testing appointment for a week in advance of your return date.
  • Most cities are offering free testing sites, please check your city government website for resources if you cannot get an appointment scheduled with your primary care doctor. If you are currently residing in the Bay Area, there are free options in both San Francisco and Oakland.
