COVID-19 Vaccination Requirements

Last updated on Apr 11, 2022

Fall 2022

All students, faculty, and staff are required to be up-to-date on their vaccinations against COVID-19 (with all recommended doses in their primary vaccine series, and one booster shot).

Visit the Vaccination Requirements for Fall 2022 page for more information.

Spring 2022

All students, faculty, and staff were required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by January 10, 2022.

Please update your vaccination status in Workday as soon as possible. All students will be required to provide proof of vaccination when you arrive on campus. In addition to the three U.S. approved vaccines (Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson), vaccines approved by international governments will be accepted. If you are coming from outside the U.S. you are strongly encouraged to get a vaccine approved for use in the U.S., if possible. For travel into the U.S., a WHO-approved vaccine is required. Confirm with your medical provider if you have questions.

  • If you were on campus this fall and have already verified your vaccination status, no further action is required.
  • If you will be new to campus this spring, the deadline to be fully vaccinated was January 10, 2022. You must attest (tell us) that you are fully vaccinated on or before this date by following these instructions. Please update your vaccination status in Workday as soon as possible.
  • You will be required to show proof of vaccination when you arrive on campus for classes or housing move-in.
  • If you cannot attest that you are fully vaccinated, you will be dropped from classes and will not be allowed to move in if you are new to student housing.

If you are unable to receive a vaccination in your current location and need a temporary extension, or would like more information about applying for a permanent exemption due to a disability, medical, or religious reason, please email deanofstudents@cca.edu (students) or hr@cca.edu (faculty/staff).

California and the Bay Area have excellent vaccination resources and availability. If you are granted a temporary extension or a permanent exemption, you will be required to provide a negative PCR test once per week until you are fully vaccinated. If you are not fully vaccinated or not granted an extension or exemption you will be dropped from courses.

Booster Shots

  • Students are strongly encouraged to receive a booster shot as soon as they are eligible.
  • Faculty and staff (in the campus based, campus hybrid, or remote first work modes) who are eligible are required to receive a booster shot by January 31, 2022.

When You Are Fully Vaccinated

To update your vaccination status, please log into Workday and follow these instructions. Entering your vaccination status as soon as possible will help inform updates to existing on-campus policies and protocols while continuing to ensure that we keep our community safe and healthy.
