How did you come up with this year's commencement experience?

As we've all learned this year, unprecedented times call for unprecedented creativity. Much like you’ve reimagined learning and making, we have reimagined the commencement that celebrates you, your art, and your resilience. Thank you Commencement Student Advisory Group and Parent Leadership Council for your guidance.

Embracing our bold commitment to reinvention, Juhnay Arabesque, our emcee extraordinaire, drag queen, and one of CCA’s former directors of the Design division, will serve as hostess as we bring CCA into your homes.

We're marking your milestone with reflections from alumni artists, inspiration from our honorary doctorate recipient, and encouragement from CCA community leaders.

How was this year's Honorary Doctorate chosen?

These individuals are nominated for embodying the mission and values of CCA and represent outstanding achievement and eminence in their field. This past year was especially important for designers because they are always creating and designing for the unknown. Sir Jony’s devotion to design as a craft aligns with the college’s 114-year legacy of forward thinking in the arts and crafts.
