Sophomore Advisory Group (SAG) is composed of first year students and sophomores, who create and coordinate Sophomore Summit. Sophomore Summit is a special tradition that has been crafted to prepare students for the second year at CCA.

What do you learn?

SAG members participate in 4 monthly meetings during the spring semester. Meetings include a series of discussion exercises and special guests to help inform the theme and structure of Sophomore Summit.

You will:

  • Determine what sessions to offer based on the pulse of the first year community
  • Develop and coordinate a creative sprint to prepare rising sophomores for their 2nd year
  • Develop and execute a marketing communication plan

Skills you will learn according to the 2016 PayScale Workforce-Skills Preparedness Report:

  • Critical thinking/problem solving
  • Attention to detail
  • Leadership

How do you join?

A student must be a first year or a second year, full-time student, as well as remain in satisfactory academic and disciplinary standing through the spring semester.

Students interested in joining SAG should apply by completing the following steps:

  1. Complete the Sophomore Advisory Group. DUE: March (date to be determined)
  2. If selected, students will be invited for an interview in April.
