Event description

Relearning Kinship brings together designers, activists, sociologists, and legal scholars to discuss and expand our understanding of kinship in relation to land and new family forms. Recognizing forms of kinship that sit outside blood relationships highlights the role of care in relearning our social and environmental bonds.

Speakers include Emily Silagon, San Francisco Community Land Trust; David Jay, Asexual Activist; Vivian Schwab, Northern California Land Trust; and Zachary Dunivin, Bloomington Cooperative Living Inc.

This event is presented by CCA@CCA, CCA Architecture, Urban Works Agency, and Haight St. Commons. It is funded by an endowment gift to support The Deborah and Kenneth Novack Creative Citizens Series at CCA, an annual series of public programs focused on creative activism.
