Last updated on Sep 08, 2026

Mission

The College Legacy Committee (CLC) is led by a cohort of faculty, staff, alumni, and students charged with navigating our transition with dignity and purpose. The CLC is empowered to oversee projects, publications, installations, and exhibitions that fulfill the following objectives:

  • Commemoration and Documentation: CLC shall harness existing initiatives and inspire new efforts to contribute to the institution’s archives. It is charged with ensuring our legacy is preserved through creative, sensitive, and scholarly methods that resonate with CCA diverse communities.
  • Curation of the Final Chapter: CLC is the primary creative guide for the wind-down process, curating along the same artistic rigor, intellectual depth, and excellence that has defined our founding.
  • Community Activation: The Committee shall design and facilitate intentional spaces for students, faculty, and alumni to gather. This charge includes the creation of forums for reflection, celebration, and commemoration, upholding the spirit of the college throughout the transition.

Above all, the CLC is tasked with leveraging this unique moment in our history to ensure that we reach our conclusion with deep respect for the people, the culture, and the transformative ideas that have defined CCA for 120 years.
