Alumni Campus Access Protocols
We are excited to welcome alumni back to campus to access services and alumni benefits. All visitors must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (including the booster, if eligible) and demonstrate proof of vaccination upon entering campus.
Staff will be using your alumni membership card to verify alumni status and to mark vaccine verification, so please bring this with you when accessing both campuses. If you need an alumni membership card, you can receive one during your first visit back to campus. Staff will be using the Alumni Directory to verify alumni status for new cards. If you’ve opted out of the directory, please email email@example.com prior to your first visit.
Below find specific protocols for visiting campus and for accessing certain services. More information about CCA’s general health and safety protocols can be found here. Should you test positive for COVID-19 within 48 hours of visiting campus, use this form to self-report your case or email COVIDresponse@cca.edu.

San Francisco Campus Access
Alumni visiting the San Francisco campus will need to have their vaccine status verified in our administrative building at 80 Carolina during their first visit back to campus.
- Go to the reception desk at 80 Carolina on the second floor (to the left at the top of the stairs), open M–F, 8:30am–4:30pm.
- Present your alumni membership card along with your proof of vaccination (physical vaccine card, photo of vaccine card, or digital vaccine card).
- Staff will verify your alumni and vaccine status and you will receive a sticker on your alumni membership card.
Following this first visit to 80 Carolina, verified alumni may access services in other buildings by presenting their alumni membership card to Public Safety officers upon entering.
Oakland Campus Access
CCA’s Oakland campus will be closed to all visitors after May 6, 2022 as staff and faculty prepare to move all programs to San Francisco for the Fall 2022 semester.
All alumni have continued access to the CCA Libraries as part of their Alumni Association benefits. Alumni living in the Bay Area are also able to check out books with an annual membership. When visiting the Simpson Library in San Francisco, please present your alumni membership card showing proof of vaccine verification along with proof of a local address to Library staff. For alumni who graduated in Spring 2020 or later, your free 1 year membership to check out books will begin upon your first visit to either Library.
The San Francisco campus Simpson Library will be open Monday to Friday, 10am-5pm during the summer, with periodic closures for construction projects. Please check libraries.cca.edu for the most up-to-date information on hours. Oakland collection items may be requested for pick up at the SF Library.
