Community Voting Organizer
Did you know that according to 2020 post-election U.S. Census data, less than 60% of potential voters aged 18-24 reported being registered to vote? In partnership with Creative Citizens in Action (CCA@CCA) and CCA’s Student Affairs, Marketing & Communications, and Exhibitions & Public Programming Departments, the Community Voting Organizer will help increase voter participation and democratic engagement on CCA’s campus by helping to build an outreach campaign, providing student representation in CCA’s Voting Coalition, organizing non-partisan campus activities, and expanding our Get Out The Vote effort.
Responsibilities:
- Attend bi-weekly team meetings
- Work as a team with other Community Voting Organizers to plan and coordinate 2 voter outreach events
- Develop a student outreach plan on various platforms, including but not limited to social media, print, and web
- Design and organize the distribution of printed materials such as posters and flyers
- Actively engage students, student organizations, and college departments in voter outreach efforts through targeted emails, tabling, presentations and meetings.
- Promote voter registration, from registering voters at Student Orientation to assisting with National Voter Registration Day
- Report on outreach and registration efforts post-election and help design a plan for 2024 Presidential Election efforts

This work-study position is scheduled for an average of 2-4 hours per week at $18.07/hr.
The Community Voting Organizer reports to CCA's Gallery Manager and Director of Exhibitions and Public Programming.
