Both San Francisco and Alameda Counties provide programs that will reimburse residents that take sustainable methods of transportation into work, but are unable to get home due to unforeseen circumstances.

Alameda County requires advanced registration.

San Francisco does not require registration, simply complete a reimbursement form. 

• Illness or crises of employee or immediate family member

• Carpool or vanpool ride is unavailable

• Bicycle problem - theft, breakdown

• Unexpected overtime required by supervisor
