Event description
Join us in celebrating the Silver and Gold Key winners of the Bay Area Regional Scholastic Art Awards!
The national Scholastic Art & Writing Awards are a prestigious opportunity for high school students to share their vision, earn important recognition, and jumpstart a pathway toward art and design careers. Regional awards happen all over the United States, and this year California College of the Arts (CCA) hosted its third annual Bay Area competition. Started in 1923 in New York, the national Scholastic Art & Writing Awards has recognized such artists, designers, and performers as Amanda Gorman, Ken Burns, Andy Warhol, and Lena Dunham.
This year, we received over 7,200 submissions from local Bay Area high school students. With the support of our phenomenal CCA faculty, we awarded 1,040 Honorable Mentions, 566 Silver Key, and 394 Gold Key awards.
Come see a selection of Silver and Gold Key award-winning artwork at CCA’s San Francisco campus and support our local young artists.
Public Viewing Hours:
Wednesday, March 26th - Saturday, March 29th: 10am-5pm
There will also be a being a special celebration event for Silver and Gold key awardees, their families, and teachers on Sunday, March 30th. Winners should please check their email for forthcoming invitations and details on how to register work for the pop-up exhibition.
