Event description

Join us in celebrating the Silver and Gold Key winners of the Bay Area Regional Scholastic Art Awards!

The national Scholastic Art & Writing Awards are a prestigious opportunity for high school students to share their vision, earn important recognition, and jumpstart a pathway toward art and design careers. Regional awards happen all over the United States, and this year California College of the Arts (CCA) hosted its third annual Bay Area competition. Started in 1923 in New York, the national Scholastic Art & Writing Awards has recognized such artists, designers, and performers as Amanda Gorman, Ken Burns, Andy Warhol, and Lena Dunham.

This year, we received over 8,500 submissions from local Bay Area high school students. With the support of our phenomenal CCA faculty, we awarded 1,174 Honorable Mentions, 419 Silver Key, and 419 Gold Key awards.

Come see a selection of Silver and Gold Key award-winning artwork at CCA’s San Francisco campus and support our local young artists.

Public Viewing Hours: Wednesday, March 5th - Saturday, March 14th: 10am-3pm

Closing Ceremony: On Sunday, March 15th we will hold a closing ceremony for Silver and Gold key awardees, their families, and teachers.

Winners should check their email for forthcoming invitations and details on how to register for the pop-up exhibition.
