All-Graduate Student Slide Slam
brought you by CCA Curricular Engagement & Graduate Relations, or CEGR
Friday, November 14
6:00 pm
Nave Presentation Space, Main Building
This is a great opportunity for graduate students from all CCA programs to get to know your work, and you theirs, in an informal & fun setting. Light refreshments will be served.
Graduate students will be given up to three minutes to talk about their work. This presentation can be supported by up to 10 slides.
Note: You DO NOT need to present slides if you would prefer not to. We encourage you to read excerpts from your work, talk openly about it, or present actual 3D objects if. you'd prefer. We just want other students across programs to hear what you're working on.
That said, students who wish to present will still need to complete the form below by Friday, November 1, and answer "NO" to the question "Are you planning to show images?"
IF YOU PLAN TO PRESENT, PLEASE COMPLETE AN ENTRY FORM, WITH IMAGES (if using), NO LATER THAN NOVEMBER 1, 2024. CLICK HERE TO APPLY.
These presentations & slides can be about anything related to your graduate work: Architectural specs, design samples, photos of your sculpture, ceramics, painting, video work, photography, textiles, stills from film projects, poems, research projects, comics, curatorial projects, photos that contribute to the reading of your fiction, nonfiction and/or poetry work, business plans, product specs, or anything having to do with your graduate work. Cross-disciplinary presentations are encouraged. Be creative! Other graduate students want to hear what you're doing!
The deadline for entry is November 1, 2025 at 11:59 pm. Based on the submissions, we at GrACE will put together the presentation order and will have a master slide presentation that includes all of your submissions.
Slide submission rules:
- Slides should be in jpeg format
- Slides should not be over 1000 pxs on the longest side.
- Slides should be under 10 MB
- Name of each slide should appear as follows
- Slide 1: [Last Name]_[First Name]1.jpg
- Slide 2: [Last Name]_[First Name]2.jpg, etc.
You can also just come and listen, but part of the fun will be hearing about what you've been up to :)
We look forward to having you participate!
