Event description
Lance Ledbetter founded Dust-to-Digital in 1999, in Atlanta, Georgia. It began its mission of creating access to hard-to-find music by producing high-quality books, box sets, CDs, DVDs, and vinyl records. Later, it expanded into what has become a popular social media platform. He co-runs it with his wife and business partner April Ledbetter.
This multimedia presentation by Lance and April Ledbetter is an exploration of the last 200 years of music and how its history is shaping our present and future sonic experience — with a particular emphasis on percussion.
Lance Ledbetter has been nominated for the Grammy Award for the Best Historical Album Producer eleven times, winning twice. Lance also oversees the non-profit organization Music Memory, which has digitized more than 50,000 rare recordings. He and April Ledbetter operate Dust-to-Digital and Music Memory in Atlanta, Georgia.
