Mary Shyne is a comic artist living in Sonoma County with her husband and two naughty pugs. She works for Snoopy at the Charles Schulz Studio by day and draws her own stories by night. She gained her MFA from the Center for Cartoon Studies in 2018, and her comics have appeared in The Nib, Electric Literature, and Solrad.

You and Me on Repeat, published by Henry Holt and Co. in 2025, is Shyne’s debut graphic novel. Two former best friends, Chris and Alicia, are stuck repeating their high-school graduation day in a time loop. While Chris tries to break the loop by getting a perfect first kiss with his crush, Andy, he and Alicia are forced to confront their past friendship and new romantic feelings as they relive the day over and over. This YA rom-com has been praised for its humor, quirky characters, and fresh take on the time-loop trope.
