Event description
We're delighted to welcome Elise Capron, literary agent at the powerhouse Dijkstra Literary Agency, for a special Zoom visit on March 10, 3:30-4:30 PM.
In this conversation, Elise will share not only what she's excited to see on her list right now, but also what it's been like to build her career as an agent-how she came into the work, how her editorial instincts have evolved, and what she's learned along the way about advocating for writers over the long haul.
She'll also offer a behind-the-scenes look at Dijkstra Literary Agency: an influential, author-centered agency known for shaping major literary careers and placing books that truly move culture. Expect a candid, wide-ranging discussion about publishing as a profession, the agent-author relationship, and how writers can think strategically about their futures.
Whether you're querying, revising, or simply curious about how the industry actually works, this is a rare chance to hear from someone doing the work at the highest level.
Open to the CCA community, including MFAW alumni. Please email Jasmin Darznik (jdarznik@cca.edu) for the Zoom link.
