CCA Animation presents the Life After School Series this Fall. Join us for three visiting artist talks exploring unique paths from artists who graduated from animation programs. In this series we will meet a current animation masters student (Erin McCann 10/1), an animator who is attending law school at Berkeley Law (Eva Minh Châu Liebovitz 10/12), and a curator/historian who is podcasting and writing about animation (Sam Gurry/Smear Frame Podcast 11/5). Each talk will include a brief Q&A with the audience.

About Eva:

Eva Minh-Châu Liebovitz is a Vietnamese-American artist from Encinitas, California. Her creative practice is rooted in folk traditions taught by her grandmothers, aunts, and community members, often related to historic domestic obligations ascribed to women. Liebovitz completed her BFA in Experimental Animation at the California Institute of the Arts. She went on to teach animation in Los Angeles alternative high schools, including in juvenile detention facilities and continuation schools. Liebovitz is currently living and working in the Bay Area while attending UC Berkeley Law School. Most recently, she completed artist residencies at safariiiCAMP in Oakland and Now Place in San Francisco.
