Event description

In concert with his exhibition, Dequindre Civic Academy, at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, Marshall Brown will be lecturing on his design process and work, which considers the possibilities of architecture to revitalize areas that have had historically limited access to resources, due to systemic inequality, depopulation, and infrastructural decline.

Marshall Brown is a highly accomplished architect, artist, and scholar who has represented the United States at the Venice Architecture Biennale. His work is featured in several prestigious collections, including the Art Institute of Chicago, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, and Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art. He is a Professor at the Princeton University School of Architecture and directs the Princeton Urban Imagination Center. Recently, he has published two books: Recurrent Visions: The Architecture of Marshall Brown Projects (Princeton Architectural Press) and The Architecture of Collage (Park Books).
