Event description
Rebekah Bloyd, Senior Adjunct, Graduate Writing Program, and Caroline Goodwin, Senior Adjunct, Writing and Literature Program, will host a pop-up poetry reading on community at the CCA Campus Gallery.
Rebekah Bloyd's poetry collections are Seabook, Sister Island, Handsome, and At Sea; her work, including essays and creative nonfiction, has been widely published. Central to her practice as a writer and educator are conversations and collaboration with artists near and far, like these hybrid essays resulting from artdotearth symposia, “The Scene Reveals—a film scene linked to the deceased” and “In Dialogue with Water: What Surfaces and Resurfaces.” Beka’s newest collection is Buoyant.
Caroline Goodwin's books include Madrigals (2021), Custody of the Eyes (2019), The Paper Tree (2017), and Peregrine (2015). A recent poem, “I’m Happy to Drive you All The Way Home” was nominated for a Pushcart Prize by Atlanta Review. Goodwin's essay “A Widow’s Guide to OKCupid” was awarded 2nd place in the Barry Lopez Creative Nonfiction Contest at Cutthroat Magazine, December 2019.
