Event description
Join us for an artist’s talk with CFGNY, an artist collective whose research-based practice takes the form of image making, installation, sculpture, garment making, and performance to expand ideas of racialization and subjectivity. Founded in 2016, the collective continually returns to the term “vaguely Asian”: an understanding of racial identity as a specific cultural experience that includes being perceived as other. The talk will be followed by a Q&A with the artists moderated by Daisy Nam.
Co-organized with CCA Fine Arts.
CFGNY is in residence with the Wattis from September - November, 2026.
