Event description
The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence will be coming to the California College of the Arts for a roundtable discussion on "Where do we go from here", the 2024 - 2025 theme for the Creative Citizens in Action event series. This theme draws inspiration from Martin Luther King's 1967 book entitled Where Do We Go from Here: Chaos or Community? and For Freedoms, an artist-led organization that centers art as a catalyst for creative civic engagement, discourse, and direct action.
The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence is a charitable and activist organization founded in 1979 with chapters all over the world. They are all about promoting social justice, human rights, and the well-being of marginalized communities. Through this interactive roundtable discussion, the hope is that The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence and students will have the opportunity to engage in discourse around post-election events and collectively envision strategies for the future on civic engagement that prioritizes creativity, compassion, empathy, and justice.
There will be free food for attendees along with raffle prizes.
