Change Language Settings of Creative Cloud Apps

Last updated on Nov 22, 2023

Students using Adobe software on their personal laptops may want to switch from another language to English. The following instructions explain how to change the language settings. (Note: lab computers will not have this issue because the region/language settings are locked and can only be changed by an administrator).

1 Select the Apple icon at the top left of your screen

2 Open System Settings

3 Select General at the left sidebar

4 Select Language & Region

5 Change your preferred language to English.

Changing your Adobe software to English by solely changing the language on the app only won't work. It must be the primary language setting.

Change your language settings on the Creative Cloud app

1 Open the Creative Cloud App and Log in

2 Click on your user icon at the top right of the screen

3 Select Preferences

4 Select Apps on the left sidebar

5 Select a language from the Default install language pulldown list

6 Select Done to apply your changes

Apps that you download after making this change install in the new language.

7 To apply the updated language to an app already on your computer, uninstall and reinstall the app
