Bulk Delete VoiceThreads
Before you begin
You must be the creator or editor of a Voice Thread to delete it. If you only have view or comment access, you will not be able to delete a VoiceThread.
A VoiceThread free account allows users to create up to 20 VoiceThreads. If you have more than 20 and need to create new ones, bulk deleting existing VoiceThreads can help you easily stay under the limit. Follow these steps to bulk delete VoiceThreads:
1 Navigate to your VoiceThread Library
First, go to the VoiceThread login page and sign in to your account using the "Sign in via Institution" option (before February 28, 2025) or the "Sign in with Google" option (effective February 28). Navigate to your VT library by clicking the home button in the upper left corner. You’ll see all the VoiceThreads you’ve created and those shared with you. Use the filter drop-down menu to narrow your results to "owned by me". You can only delete VoiceThreads owned by you.
2 Turn management mode on
In your VoiceThread library, click the three-dot button next to the “search VoiceThreads” bar and select “Turn management mode on”.
3 Select and delete VoiceThreads in bulk
Select the VoiceThreads you wish to delete by checking the matching checkboxes, and then click the delete/trash can button located at the top of the VoiceThread Library to bulk delete the selected VoiceThreads.
