Last updated on Jul 16, 2025

Jump to a section

Before you begin

By default, the photo that is used for your ID card will automatically be added to your Workday profile. Staff and Faculty can choose to change this photo.

Guidelines:

Your photo helps others at CCA to recognize you. Your photo must be a photo of yourself. Avatars or other characters are not appropriate, nor is content that is copyrighted or unauthorized for public distribution, includes other people, or contains offensive content. Your manager or Human Resources will approve all photo changes to ensure its appropriateness.

Follow these guidelines to select the best photo for your Workday profile:

  • Size: The maximum image size is 10 MB. For most applications, an image size of approximately 200 x 200 pixels is ideal.
  • Aspect Ratio: Use square images for best results, as images typically display as circles in Workday and as squares in other places. Non-square images may result in white spaces.
  • File Format: Supported formats include JPG, PNG, and GIF, with JPG and PNG providing the best quality and size.

NOTE: Students are not able to change their photo in Workday. The same photo used for ID cards will be used for all students in Workday.

1 Initiate the Change My Photo task

Log into Workday at https://workday.cca.edu.

In the search bar, search for the task Change My Photo. Click on this task from the search results.

2 Upload Your Photo

In the Attachments are, click the Select files button, and select the photo from your device.

3 Select Area

Move or resize the white square until the highlighted circle captures the best area of your photo. You can resize the area by clicking and dragging the corners of the square. Ideally, center your face and zoom in, since the resulting photo is often very small in most places where it is displayed.

Click OK when done.

4 Submit and Await Approval

Click the Submit button when finished. If you are a staff member, your manager will need to approve your photo change. Photo changes for all other employees will go to Human Resources for review.
