Hugo has over three decades of experience as an industrial designer and design director specializing in the conception, design, and development of consumer products and personal transport vehicles. He is also a Professor of Design with over 25 years of experience in the UK, USA, and Canada involving initiatives with Ford, Renault, Audi, and Ducati. His career spans working at IDEO, Landor, Omnicom and others, working with clients including Nike, TAG Heuer, American Express, Hewlett Packard, and with automakers Ford, Stellantis, Chrysler, and Volkswagen.

In 2014 he founded UNTLD MOTO in response to the nascent EV industry and the evolving transport landscape. UNTLD delivers transformational strategy, design, and production for the automotive industry. Together with the world's top brands and select private clients, UNTLD envisions a new way forward, helping transport brands into the future. Hugo’s work has been published extensively online and in print, on television, and in the movies. In 2022, he was celebrated as one of 10 “leading-edge EV designers” at the Petersen Automotive Museum. He is regularly invited to talk about vehicle design and the future of transport.
