Fabrication: Spray Booth
The only place on campus where you can spray paint.
Current Students, Faculty, and Staff, with a personal respirator rated for organic vapors, may access the Spray Booth 24 hours a day, 7 days a week when the building is open. Please refer to the academic calendar for any building closures due to holidays or events.
The Spray booth (room D130) can be found on the first floor of Double Ground.

Due to academic program needs and the large volume of students that this space supports, CCA Shops are not available to alumni at this time.
About the Fabrication: Spray Booth
The Spray Booth is an open-access space for using aerosol cans. The booth is itself is a 136 square foot Cross-draft Booth supplied with a pneumatic air connection and regulator for use of a spray/finishing gun.
Note: Personal respirators rated for organic vapors are required to be used while working in the Spray Booth. These cannot be checked out from the Tool Center.
Respirators are available at Arch, SF Paint Source, or other local retailers.
** The use of Spray Adhesive is not allowed anywhere on CCA campus. **
The Spray Booth room also acts as the collection site for hazardous waste for Double Ground shops and studios. There are dedicated waste drums for aerosol cans as well as contaminated rags and fabrication materials. Please ask Studio Management if there are any questions. Studio staff is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
