CCA has made the difficult decision to cancel this summer’s Pre-College program due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
We deeply regret disappointing the young artists who hoped to visit our campus this summer and deepen their skills. We were looking forward to meeting and working with them, but the health and safety of our students, instructors, and staff has to be our top priority and it has become clear to us that we will not be able to achieve the levels of social distancing that will still be required this summer.
Admitted students and families have been contacted via email regarding full refunds.

Immerse yourself in an inspiring, creative community.
Make friends. Make art.
At CCA’s Pre-College Program, you’ll join a diverse group of creative thinkers and makers that have one thing in common: the pursuit of purposeful work.
Our setting is CCA’s lush Oakland campus, where studio-focused, college-level courses help you push beyond concepts to portfolio-ready pieces.
Our backdrop is the San Francisco Bay Area, home to powerhouse brands, remarkable tech companies, and world-class museums—all easily reachable by BART train or rideshare.
If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to be in art school, this is your time to grow as an individual and take your artwork to the next level.
The program is designed for students who will have completed their sophomore, junior, or senior year of high school by summer 2020. Students must be at least 15 by June 2020 and not older than 18 to attend.
