CCA Work-Study Merchandising Specialist Position

CCA Auxiliary Services works directly with CCA student workers to develop, brand, and sell official California College of the Arts merchandise. Many of the designs featured on this page have been developed by CCA students - from vendor sourcing to final garment printing, our merchandising specialists have played a pivotal role in creating what you see here. Merchandising Specialists are hired onto the Auxiliary Services Team - they undergo rigorous design reviews with CCA’s internal marketing team to ensure brand alignment, learn about the business and financial side of merchandising, and partner with both internal and external vendors to create a product that speaks to the character of the CCA community.

How to apply to be a Merchandising Specialist for the 2025-2026 Academic Year:

Applications for the 2025-2026 Academic Year are not open at this time. Please refer to the posted timeline below and email auxiliary@cca.edu with any questions. Please note that these are not official dates and may be subject to changes.

• September 24, 2025: Target Hire Date

• Short cover letter speaking to your art practice and why you'd be a good fit for the role (PDF)
• Three existing works that feature your specific style and perspective or a link to your online portfolio
