This workshop aims to introduce designers to foundational concepts, discourses, and issues in decolonizing knowledge, especially as it is produced, disseminated, and taught in the Anglo-European design academy, and within the US. We discuss things like engendering epistemic humility, cosmological perspectivism, and the interpellation of non-Anglo-European ways of knowing and doing, especially with regards to creative material and visual practices, within the classroom and beyond.
