STEM OPT & CCA Closure
The International Student Services (ISS) team is pleased to share that CCA has secured an agreement with a fellow AICAD school to take over the administration and continued oversight of SEVIS records for CCA alumni who are on active STEM OPT at the time of CCA’s closure. We have confirmed with SEVP that this agreement meets their current policy for allowing F-1 students on STEM OPT to meet their STEM OPT reporting requirements and continue their work authorization benefit without interruption.
The ISS team will continue to be your point of contact for maintaining F-1 status on STEM OPT from now until CCA’s closure date. Our agreement finalized with the AICAD member school confirms that CCA continues responsibility for SEVIS records until closure. CCA International Student Services remains your official point of contact, and ISS will continue advising and supporting students through closure and the SEVIS transition process.
As we get closer to CCA’s closure date, if you do not want your CCA SEVIS record moved to the AICAD partner school, you must inform ISS, and we will follow up with you directly about your plans and next steps.
To ensure you are receiving up-to-date information from ISS, please make sure your email address is current and correct in your SEVP portal account at all times.
