Emergency

Dial 9-1-1 for all emergency situations that require the police, fire department, or paramedics (medical crisis). Note: You can dial 9-1-1 from any home, business, or pay phone; however, calling 9-1-1 from a cell phone will connect you to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).

There are two types of notices that address emergency communications.

An Emergency Alert is issued upon the confirmation of any significant emergency or dangerous situation involving an immediate threat to the health or safety of students or employees. The purpose of the Emergency Notification is to warn our community about an immediate threat and provide instructions on what to do at that time.

A Timely Warning is issued for any crime or situation that represents an ongoing threat to the safety of students or employees. The purpose of the Timely Warning is to provide information about the ongoing issue so that members of the CCA community may alter their routine or behavior to provide for their own safety.

All current students are encouraged to sign up for the CCA provided Rave Mobile Safety system. Learn more about this text and email message system that alerts students to official news and information in the event of an emergency. Registration is required.
