Learn More About SAC

Last updated on Jun 18, 2024

History

The Staff Advisory Committee (SAC) was founded in July 2015 to promote a sense of community across CCA and to help advance certain Human Resources initiatives. SAC events and initiatives focus on employee appreciation, community engagement, and staff advocacy while prioritizing diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) and staff wellness.

SAC is led by a Core Team of members who provide guidance, oversight, and direction to the full committee. Currently, we have three primary project teams: Creative Culture, Community Building, and Retention & Recognition, which are guided by project team leads. Additional project teams sustain ongoing SAC traditions: tenure acknowledgments, appreciation & wellness stations, chair massages, staff & faculty shout-outs, community celebrations, and more.

Interested in Joining SAC?

We are always excited to welcome new members to our team! As a SAC member, you would be expected to actively participate in at least one primary project team, attend affiliated meetings, and also attend the monthly SAC meeting. The average monthly time commitment is about 10 hours per month. We also look to our members to help actively promote SAC initiatives either college-wide or among your own department, to support with planning sessions and events, and to support SAC member recruitment. Please note that since SAC commitments take place during work hours, supervisory approval is required to participate.
