GLASS-1000: Basic Glass Blowing

Course Description

In this hands-on course students will blow and ladle-cast molten glass. Individuals will also have the opportunity to sandblast, grind, polish and glue glass to explore this unique, transparent material. Through demonstrations and practice in the cold and hot glass shop, students will acquaint themselves with the tools and materials needed to realize a variety of forms in glass. Additional materials fee will be charged. Open to students in all disciplines; no prior glass experience necessary.
