This course is designed to introduce students to the skills and knowledge necessary to transition into professional practice and expose them to career opportunities suited to their interests and skills. Projects include the design of a portfolio website, personal identity, and marketing materials. In addition, students learn to create a resume, cover letter, and professional profile. Topics include: an overview of the design profession and areas of specialization, social media for professional networking and job search, proposal writing, project management, and the interview process.
