This course is designed to familiarize students with the skills and knowledge necessary to transition into professional practice. Projects include the design of a portfolio website, personal identity, and marketing materials. In addition you will learn to create a resume, cover letter, and professional profile. Topics covered will include an overview of the design profession and areas of specialization to expose students to career opportunities suited to their interests and skills. Also covered are using social media for professional networking and job search, writing proposals, managing projects, and the interview process.
