ILLUS-2101: Tools: Concept to Final
Course Description
This course is intended to bridge the gap between studio figure drawing and to more directly apply the understanding of the figure through studio work to finished narrative art and illustration. Students will primarily work from the human figure, concentrating on the full body gestures and the emotions revealed therein, as well as working to understand the structure of the head, face and hands. Students will expand work done in class into assignments that incorporate the figure into a context, to create readable narrative images, and ultimately, effectively communicate concept and emotion.
