MAAD Proseminar: Spatial Genealogies will explore the network of influences, connections, references and tangents that influence contemporary design practice. By leveraging students' previous work, this course will trace its lineage in both formal and historic terms. Students will look for precedents and read for disciplinary context while receiving input from faculty members presenting their own work. The course culminates in the creation of a book, exhibition and / or interface that showcases the research and casts forward to speculate about its implications.
