Description:
This course follows 3D Animation 1, and focuses on animation concepts and techniques using basic tools within the Maya environment. The course will lead students through a series of sequenced exercises that build towards an essential 3D animation skillset reflecting the 12 principles of Animation. 2D drawing assignments will follow the 3D ones, to promote rounded skills, and to show how 2D and 3D can relate and strengthen one another. At each step student work will be evaluated for expressiveness, technique, and aesthetic qualities.
