Description:

Animation Tutorials are production workshops for advanced level animation students. Depending on the instructor, students will complete a sequence of animation exercises or one semester long project. Critiques will be conducted similar to studio dailies where the instructor gives the student production notes in order to improve their animation. Based on this assessment, it is the student's responsibility to improve their work. All advanced animation students who have completed Animation 2 are welcome. This course focuses on the development and completion of a student’s animation demo reel andportfolio. It offers strategies for students to begin their career search for internships, entry-levelpositions, and other career opportunities. Students will learn how to research and apply for relevant jobs and various work opportunities. After evaluating the quality of their existing portfolio and demo reel work, students will work on polishing, enhancing and creating pieces for an industry-ready portfolio and reel. In addition to the primary deliverables of the demo reel and portfolio, as part of their marketing package, students will complete a website, resume, cover letter samples and business card.
