Description:

Animation Tutorials are production workshops for advanced level animation students. Depending on the instructor, students will complete a sequence of animation exercises or one semester long project. All advanced animation students who have completed Animation 2 are welcome.This class provides students the skills they need to bring out the best performance in an actor, as well as how to communicate an artistic vision to a team. Students learn a variety acting and communication methods and put them into practice by directing their peers in film shoots and recording sessions. Areas of focus include: Preparing a script, planning shoots and recording sessions efficiently, how to work with difficult Talent, discerning which takes to use, and what to do when your game plan doesn’t work. The class utilizes live-action and animated film clips, group discussions, in-class exercises and demonstrations, and directing projects to give students the tools they need to bring characters to life and tell great stories. This class is available for both film and animation majors.
