Description:
The third in a series of four Design Media courses emphasizes the material / maker culture within architecture through the development of skills and techniques pertaining to contemporary fabrication and parametric techniques. This intermediate level course focuses on the analytical and projective use of Grasshopper, and on Digital Fabrication including advanced iterative assemblies and intermediate training with 3D printing, laser-cutting, and CNC milling. The technical aspects of the course are accompanied by pertinent histories and theories of digital production in architecture.
